Prevention is better than a cure?

Are you as shocked as I to discover all the media coverage about curing cancer seems to have glossed over the fact that for some cancers in people under the age of 50, the incidences in people born after 1990 are double or quadruple what they were in those born in the 1950s?

So we are experiencing a massive increase in the causes of cancer, despite decades of supposed advances in medical science, stopping that evil smoking, teaching people to eat healthily (if that equates to forcing no choice from using introduced government sponsored non-food substances approved for addition to foods and using poorly controlled pesticides and fungicides) and government sponsored, i.e. tax funded ‘health’ campaigns.

Almost all listed potential causes were present in the 1950s and arguably in wider use due to the ‘foolish’ scientists of the 1950s (as stated with hindsight from the supposedly much wiser scientists today – shurely someone can see the problem here? Anyone?), thus it would seem to anyone with actual common sense, the scientific community has not placed focus on the causes of these cancers, instead more on how to monetise treating ever more customers, sorry patients.

In the spirit of balance and to not tar an entire community that does have many dedicated and worthy people, even if proportionally few, fighting as hard as they can to bring focus to prevention rather than just cures as noted in the article below. Hopefully with more attention, the worrying trend that will ironically just add more anxiety to those in focus, can gain research funding.

As someone who grew up during the Cold War right next to a first strike target and without a ticket to enter in the event of war, one might venture to argue we have created a far darker set of prospective futures for the young growing up today. Why am I not that bothered in the same way? What does my experience and understanding of history arm me with?

When I look at the world as if I were about to start my life’s journey, some things haven’t changed, other’s have. The ones I can ignore are based on opinions, not fact, thus I worry less in the hope the ones I’m forced to accept should diminish as or if humanity evolves. I have however had to reassure my children about these and other worries they have developed and when it comes to global security, it is hard to paint a positive picture when any educated person can watch history running like a television repeat.

What could cause excessive worry to those starting or working through ‘the best years of their lives’?

  • Nothing is more important than advertising. You cannot be expected to be allowed to focus on a single thing that you are interested in without being constantly interrupted to ensure you are thinking about a product or service. Why? What right exists to invade people’s minds, personal time and lives? What damage does this do to an ordered mind?
  • What is a healthy diet and lifestyle? For every opinion and article on the internet and in the media, there are a dozen contradictory ones. Which is right?
  • Join the money grubbing human exploiters who live in the hope they won’t be the last generation to live off the work of others. At least with this one you just have to not care about others and you can buy the best medical care!
  • Watch the end of the world portrayed now against the ever present threat of nuclear war, on top of an ‘inevitable climate failure’, viruses just like those before being touted as an apocalypse, amid countries ignoring any semblance of international law and basic societal infrastructures crumbling. The advanced 21st Century!
  • Follow the inspiration of your government and learn to really hate anyone who opposes your view of the world, regardless of the damage to your entire society. (After all, our societies only exist due to people with differing beliefs and drivers coming together for the common good, why does anyone thus listen to those who would destroy that?)
    • Keep telling yourself there is order and clarity to humanity, go to work, live your life and just keep saying lalalalalalalalalalalacan’t hear you lalalalalalalala, as hard as you can.

Could any of those healthy(?) mindsets have anything to do with the spread of cancer? The fact that anxiety and worry can manifest physical symptoms is indisputable, so how much research and how many ‘AI’ systems are being targeted at trend analysis between mental as well as environmental and personal medical history?

Entirely due to there being so many variables involved in causation, the opportunities to maximise profits across a wide range of social and medical backgrounds is an expanding market, set to make billions for decades to come. Just look at how well Denmark is doing as a country now it can sell drugs to make people thin. Eat whatever you like and take a pill to fix that unsightly result, what harm could that do to your body?

One is reminded of learning how those ‘uneducated’ people of the past would use Mercury as a face peel to look more appealing. Maybe we are a doomed species.. 🙂 Note: For those under 50, we are not, the worst of those who have taken from the majority are on their way out, the remainder, like Musk, Bezos and Zuckerburg haven’t the intelligence to be half as devious as those who have been doing it for generations.

The revolt against technological and financial waste (that is almost entirely used to pay for adverts, crazy huh?) has already begun. Those who rely on it to make their living are hardly going to talk about it are they? They are the ones praying while going “lalalalalalalal please don’t let them work it out, buy sugar-free AI donuts lalalalalala…”.

We already have the technology we need to remake the world for all of humanity, we just need to use it, not keep developing ever more complex solutions that either don’t work, were not needed or that are never completed and cost more than the entire world produced less than 100 years ago. Still trying to take a slice of a pie that was sold decades ago?
